I saw Ms. Becker-Black’s work at one of the studios in the Everett Lofts on First Thursday earlier this year. I was blown away by how alive all of the images seemed to be. I see a great deal of art that’s either cliched or simply uninteresting, so to see work that grabs you instantly and leaves such an impression as hers is a rare treat. I’m looking forward to seeing more.

Bravo to her on winning the scholarship. She’s a rare talent that deserves more recognition.

Very well written – her work is incredibly light and airy – at least the ones shown here. Congratulations to her on the winning the scholarship .
